The Valmet Forest
The Valmet Group has created and nurtured its own forest within the Treedom project. This initiative embodies our group’s overarching philosophy of implementing concrete actions with tangible benefits for the well-being and safety of people and the environment.
Our first forest, established thanks to the contributions of the entire Valmet team, partners, and clients, is located in the heart of Mexico and in the Huehuetenango department.
We like to think of it as a tangible demonstration of how every small step, when repeated with consistency and determination, can lead us on great journeys and, in this case, truly improve the planet.
Why a Valmet Forest?
In addition to contributing to the reforestation of areas severely affected by desertification or deforestation, the decision to plant new trees has immediate benefits for local communities. Think of the creation of small-scale agroforestry systems that provide economic and social advantages linked to fruit production and the subsequent processing activities. This further demonstrates how caring for the environment can be a true resource for economic and social development.
